This CLE focuses on Artificial Intelligence and deepface technology, what it is, how it works, how it is being misused to misrepresent people and events, and how it can be used to perpetuate intimate partner abuse through the creation of deep fake pornography. Topics will include the passage of NYS CPL 245.15, which adds deep face images to the existing unlawful dissemination of an intimate image statutek Suffolk County’s local law, and the Federal nonconsensual pornography statute. The presentation will also focus on how to assist victims to identify their abusers and interacting with tech companies.

Topics will include how digital impersonation can impact and influence civil, criminal, and family law proceedings. In addition, what is being done in the law to address emerging technologies, locally, state-wide, and nationally to respond to this abuse and how to assist victims.

The program will provide 1.5 CLE credits in Professional Practice
