Hello everyone!!  I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful fall! As we begin to get back into the hustle and bustle of this busy time of year, I hope you are all including the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association on your calendars. We have some really exciting programs on tap for the year ahead. The board has already met to start planning. The first meeting of the new Advisory Board has already taken place as well. What a learning experience that was for me. I had the pleasure of sitting around a table with some of the greatest leaders this organization has ever seen. Listening to their stories and their history really opened my eyes to what the SCWBA is all about.

I want the theme of the 2015-2016 year to be “Back to Basics.” This organization is truly rooted in friendship and I want to bring that back. We plan to concentrate a lot more on networking and the social aspects of this organization. We need to learn more about each other so that we can lean on one another, network and make referrals with confidence. In addition, we will be focusing more on women’s issues in general.
Our membership cocktail reception is coming up quickly. I hope to see all of you there! In order to keep costs down, the SCWBA will be subsidizing the fee for all attendees. It will be wonderful event as it always is!! I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Here’s to a great year ahead!!!!!
